About Us
Sonia Woodward founded her company in 2009 following working as an occupational therapist in a variety of clinical settings. Sonia Woodward Ltd is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our core team work collaboratively with associate therapists and organisations to provide a bespoke service.
Sonia arranges complex care packages, and where appropriate, works alongside Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), schools and local authorities.

Senior Case Manager
Neuro-Occupational Therapist
Sonia Woodward is a case manager and independent occupational therapist, gaining her degree in occupational therapy from The Essex School of Occupational Therapy.
Sonia founded Sonia Woodward limited in 2008, where she combines her independent practice providing case management and occupational therapy services, for adults and children with brain injury, catastrophic injuries, and birth injuries. In her case management role, Sonia arranges complex care packages and where appropriate has worked alongside Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Local Authorities and other specialist care providers.
Sonia is the Senior Case Manager and takes an active role in overseeing and supporting her growing team of Associate Case Managers, to ensure that clients are receiving the best support available to them
Sonia has also worked within the private sector as a care coordinator and care manager working with young adults and children with a wide range of physical and complex needs, including cerebral vascular injuries and spinal injuries, and with people who have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder. As well as working within the private sector, Sonia has vast experience working within the NHS, covering physical and mental health, neurology, medical, amputee, trauma, and orthopaedics. This involved her working across the board with other teams and clinicians and liaising with statutory services beyond the NHS.
Sonia has completed her Bond Solon Expert Witness training and holds a Cardiff University Certificate.

In her spare time Sonia is a trustee of the brain injury charity, Headway.
Sonia has a love of travelling the world and is always looking for her next adventure! She loves spending time in her garden, and with her 4 grandchildren and her Jack Russell dog – Freddy.

Penny Pope
Occupational Therapist & Case Manager
Penny began her career with Sonia Woodward Ltd in 2009, initially working as a support worker and rehabilitation assistant. Her hands-on experience in client care soon led her into case management, where she developed a strong foundation in coordinating complex care packages. Alongside this, Penny gained experience working closely with Sonia as an Occupational Therapy Assistant before qualifying as an Occupational Therapist (BSc Hons) from the University of Northampton.
Penny has extensive experience supporting clients with acquired brain injuries and amputations. She is highly skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective, person-centred rehabilitation. A passionate advocate for continuous professional development, Penny regularly attends training and seminars to enhance her knowledge and skills. She also plays an active role in mentoring and supporting colleagues within the team.
In addition to her work with Sonia Woodward Ltd, Penny spent eight years as a welfare case manager for The Royal British Legion. This role gave her deep insight into the third sector, the UK’s social welfare system, and experience liaising with statutory services including local authorities, housing associations, and the DWP. It also strengthened her expertise in the areas of mental health, addiction, and recovery.
Known for her down-to-earth and compassionate approach, Penny brings both professional and personal understanding to her work. As a mother of two and stepmother to a child with global developmental delay following microcephaly, she offers a unique and empathetic perspective on the challenges faced by families navigating complex health needs. Penny is also a keen linguist and speaks fluent Danish.
Penny is a member of the Case Management Society UK (CMS UK), the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM), and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
Rebecca Oyedele
Associate case manager
Rebecca has 10 years’ experience within the brain Injury sector which includes assisting case managers.
Rebecca’s experience has been gained from within the NHS and private sector. Rebecca has managed and developed support worker teams. Rebecca has experience of developing client specific assessments and starting new packages, ensuring support plans were person centred.
She is an outgoing, tenacious and resilient individual. Rebecca is highly organised with extensive experience in supporting and managing team. She sets herself high standards and thrives when working under pressure. Rebecca has excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with individuals from different backgrounds, she applies a great level of empathy and sensitivity to challenging situations.
Rebecca has worked alongside clinical teams to ensure goals are achieved and that care plans and risk assessments are developed with rehabilitation in mind.
Rebecca is a mum of three young children, she has a keen interest with psychological aspects of trauma and how this impacts on individuals and their families.
Collette Layzell
Independent Occupational Therapist Case Manager
Collette qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy. Collette is registered with the Health & Social Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT).
Collette has over 30 years’ experience of working with adults and children with Learning disabilities and/or Autism and individuals with mental health and forensic needs. Collette has additional qualifications, including but not limited to, Sensory Integration, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Person-Centred Active Support (PCAS).
Throughout her career Collette has worked in a variety of settings including in-patient units, and community settings, alongside working as an independent Occupational Therapist. Collette has extensive experience of working with and liaising with various Health Professionals within Social Care, Private Organisations, and the Probation Service and Commissioners. Collette advocates for a person-centred strength-based approach, advocating for the individuals wishes and needs. Collette undertakes Activity of Daily Living assessments, Environmental risk assessments, sensory assessments etc. alongside using therapy outcome measures.
Collette is enthusiastic and self-motivated with a flexible and committed approach to the roles and responsibilities that are presented to her. Collette has a multitude of knowledge and experience of working with adults and children with varying complex needs which will be transferred into the case management role.
In her spare time, Collette enjoys being with her family and her dog. Collette has a love of sports and is a keen paddleboarder.

Cat Williams
Associate Case Manager Social Work (MSc) – Safeguarding
Over the years Cat has worked with children and adults with brain injuries, global developmental delay, ill mental health and a range of physical conditions and disabilities, supporting them to access funding and high-quality care to enable them to achieve and/or maintain a good quality of life and independence, where possible. Her strong record in safeguarding vulnerable children and adults enables her to challenge and hold herself and others to account, to ensure the best interests of the client.
Cat qualified as a social worker in 2013 and has since gained considerable experience in working with children and their families in need of support, to promote their wellbeing, development, and rehabilitation. Working primarily within local authority children’s services teams, specialising in safeguarding and child protection, Cat also gained experience of working with and undertaking assessments of children with disabilities to determine their eligibility for care packages. Cat has experience of managing teams of social workers, taking overall case responsibility, and providing direction, supervision and overseeing practice to ensure that clients receive the best possible service and care. Cat is a keen advocate for the individuals she works with, championing their wishes and feelings to ensure their voices are heard. Cat is a strong proponent of collaborative working with clients, their families, and their professional network. Cat has worked in and led multi-disciplinary teams whose aim is to promote the wellbeing of clients. Cat’s skillset as a social worker is highly transferrable to the case management role, especially given her experience of working with children and adults with disabilities and undertaking assessments, case holding and care plan implementation and review.
Cat is highly professional but has a warmth and genuine kindness that immediately puts her clients at ease, and this helps to get the best from them to help achieve their goals. Cat is registered with Social Work England and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Jairos Chitepo
Associate case manager
Jairos Chitepo has 22 years of extensive experience as dedicated Physiotherapist working across a varied range of specialisms from Surgical and Critical care to Neurological and Medical. Jairos is a dedicated, caring and ambitious physiotherapist. who combines his private practice of Physiotherapy and Case Management with working as a Lead MSK First Contact Practitioner in a local GP Surgery Jairos thrives on delivering the best quality service to my patients or clients.
He endeavour to learn from every situation, challenging and ordinary so that he consistently improves on his practice. Jairos maintains his professional development in ways that can compliment his professional approach to change or improve his practice appropriately.
Beverly Allen
Office Administration
Bev began her working career as a sales assistant in a specialist delicattessen, then joined a commercial estate agency as an office junior, progressing to PA to the junior partner. She has gained experience working for specialist insurance agencies, estate agents, PA within Formula 1 Racing, solicitors, case management PA, the PA to the Leader within the local Council and various other PA/administration roles.
Bev had previously worked with Sonia in another Case Management company and joined Sonia Woodward Ltd in 2023 as an administration assistant.
Bev enjoys travelling and holidays, baking, gardening, car racing, skiing, running and fitness and spending her free time with her husband and their two Staffordshire Terriers.
Gemma Wright
Accounts and finance manager
Gemma Wright is the accounts and finance manager at Sonia Woodward Ltd and has over 18 years’ experience in various finance sectors. Gemma manages the day-to-day financial process, for both the company and client accounts, ensuring clear records of expenditure for the clients is recorded
Gemma’s personal time is spent with her young family and many dogs
